It all began in April 2020, during the first lockdown, when Hortense discovered her grandmother's sewing machine and taught herself how to sew. She made her first tote bag from scraps of Toile de Jouy. That's when the great adventure began, with the challenge of manufacturing all accessories in France, while sourcing raw materials from neighboring countries.

In September 2020, mass production was outsourced to a workshop located in the Alpes Maritimes. Then, in Champagne-Ardenne, she met Laurence, Bernadette, Edith, and Camille, four seamstresses who assist her in making small series.

Hortense, for her part, designs and makes all the prototypes with her own hands in Paris, drawing inspiration from French history, the home, and her family heritage.

The brand is now present in around thirty boutiques in France, Taiwan, and Japan, promoting French heritage and unique savoir-faire.
